As others mentioned squeaky with each step initially. Stopped after wearing for about 5 minutes with a few occassional squeaks after that. Love the lining for added warmth and that they are waterproof.

The fit and size were accurate, I have narrow calves and the fit is perfect. They were comfortable and very warm even on the first time that I wore them walking all over NYC. Previous comments do note that they squeak when you first walk in them but that went away within 5 minutes and returned.

I agree with the other reviewer. They are squeaky! Also leather is really stiff and almost feels like synthetic.

When I put these on and took one step, they squeaked so loud! I thought it was a fluke but walked all around the house and these boots squeaked like a rubber boot. I figured that would maybe go away with time and breaking in, but the main reason I'm sending them back is the "lip" at the toe of the boot and all around the foot. I guess it's the platform, but I don't like the look of it or the shape. They're going back in exchange for maybe something a bit more sleek and sexy?
