We got a set of these as a wedding gift 20 years ago. Except for a very careless hard knock on one bowl that resulted in a small chip, the set held up amazingly. They are hardy, a beautiful simple clean style, and the color remains as complete as the day we got them. I'd definitely without hesitation recommend Noritaki Colorware to anyone.
I really like the oversized design of these mugs, although they are a bit heavy. I love the Noritake Colorwave collection, and my main set is in graphite. I wanted to add a pop of color, so I chose the raspberry option. The color is really nice and looks good in my black & white kitchen.
Good quality I will buy more when on sale.
I registered for these place settings and bakeware in 2011 when I got married, and they are still going strong! We've added 2 kids to the mix so there have been 1 or 2 plates broken from being dropped, but I still have 95% of the pieces I originally received. I'm sure they'll last another 15 years!
The coffee mugs I bought are not to my liking. They are too large and bulky in appearance. I love the color, but I am not fond of the shape.
The color, quality, and comfort hold in my hand with coffee was all within my expectations. My first set of 4 came broken 2 of the 4. With a quick phone call it was reordered and delivered within 3 days after the call. The 2nd set that I ordered in a different color was packed much better and 0 breakage in shipping.
