Briggs & Riley Sympatico 3.0 Essential Carry-On Expandable Spinner

I bought this for my wife and she loved it. It's easy to pack and unpack, easy rolling, easy carrying if have to. A bit on the pricey side, well made quality product well worth the investment

I have used it on two trips since I received it. I went to France for 10 days and it was perfect - rolls smoothly everywhere and is easy to repack when needed. I’m just coming home from a week long car trip moving every night and it was so easy to keep everything in order and put dirty clothes in the other side from clean. It was also easy to lift in and out of the car - I am so glad I bought this suitcase!

​Five years ago, I switched to a heavy travel role helping companies with safety and ergonomics. A veteran "travel warrior" friend told me to buy Briggs & Riley. They were right. My first blue Sympatico lasted five years of grueling, multi-site travel and was so good, still in great condition I just handed it down to my partner. ​I bought a second one in Plum for the color (honestly) and I noticed a few upgrades: ​More Luxurious Feel: The materials feel noticeably more premium. ​Smarter Layout: The interior separator now secures to one panel rather than being a two-part system. Both work, this one is better. ​Smoother Expansion: I didn’t think their compression-expansion system could get better, and idk how but it is. ​My job brings exhausting early mornings and late nights. When I'm packing, B&R Sympatico is doing all the work, I just show up. Love it!

I am extremely impressed with the quality and design of this carry-on. I did not know if the price would be justified, but it most certainly is!

Excited to use this bag on an upcoming trip. . thoughtfully designed. . this piece of luggage will enhance my ability to do more with less!

While I haven't had the chance to use my new luggage yet, I do love the look and feel of the bag so far. From previous experience, I can tell that the bag is the right size for my needs and I love the added functionality of the built-in compression device. It is the perfect sized carry on with a stylish look and sturdy material. I am so happy with my purchase!

Received the Essential 22" carry on spinner in green, in time for a trip to Portugal. This carry on moved smoothly through the airports and on the cobblestones in Porto, Coimbra and Lisbon. It's tough and rugged, had no issue checking the suitcase for an early boarding pass since it's so well built. I also liked the zippered compartments inside that held all the smaller essentials. Packed 2 pr of jeans, 5 tees, 2 long sleeved shirts and pj's, as well as socks and underwear, with a little room to spare for souvenirs. Very pleased with my purchase.

I have one of these purchased in 2022, and I just bought one for my husband in 2026. I also have other Briggs and Riley suitcases that have lasted for many many years and been repaired. Unfortunately the new one is terrible quality. The hard shell is very thin now and dents when pressing to compress the suitcase. The compression mechanism pops open very easily (not from stuff in the suitcase pressing the button). We had a down jacket in the suitcase and the compression mechanism kept failing so the suitcase kept expanding. I do not recommend buying this model until an updated version is released.

Expensive but nice. Their warranty is valid; they recently repaired a 20+ year-old briefcase type carry-on for me, free, on which the handle had broken.
