This shoe has fine support. Oddly the toe box is narrow or tapered, my guess is to make it more ‘feminine’ but it makes the shoe less functional. The straps used to be a slightly wider kind of outdoors strappy material. Overall, the sole of the shoe is a perfect outdoor use type of sole, good grip, rugged. But the rest of the shoe is terrible.
The shoes have comfortable bottoms, but the straps on top were too tight for my feet. I wish there was an adjustable strap to go over the bridge of the foot. The straps are also thin and cut into a little bit.
Don't be too quick to send these back - for me there was a break-in period of several days. By the end of the week, they were my new BFF and I'm wearing them every day and loving them! They aren't like Olowahu where you slip them on and are "good to go", and yet, the sturdier sole and arch support have become my "go to" for every day. The Tradewinds color is exceptional - a silvery, shimmery blue that goes with everything. I plan to purchase in other colors. LOVE THEM!
Hard soled but very comfy to walk around in. I walked around city streets for days and not a sore spot or blister. Feet did not hurt at all.
Not what I expected from Teva. Had to return them. They were like wearing a car! Heavy, hard plastic, and I couldn’t keep them on my feet because they were so giant. And for the price, they went straight back.
Cute sandals and felt comfortable. But I'm only giving 3 stars because of the fit. Teva should offer half sizes on our their sandals. 8's were too small and 9's were too big. All of my more favorite styles of theirs weren't available in half sizes while, others were. Very disappointing!
They are so tight I can't wear them. The strap over the top of the foot isn't made for high arches.
Pros: I like the additional strap across the top of my foot, because I have very narrow feet and traditional flip flops out too much strain on my toes trying to "grasp" onto the shoe. Footbed is comfortable. Cons: Given the price of this product, I expected better quality. I have only worn them a handful of times and the straps are already fraying! Also a half size would be helpful over size 10. That's a general issue I have encountered however with other brands as well.
I have worn the same flip flops for over 20 years. I keep two new pairs in my closet at all times. But my aching back convinced me that I needed arch support. I have another style Teva that I like. They have been a reliable, quality pair of sandals. That is why I chose to try the TirraTraveler. In an ideal world they would be made in 1/2 sizes and the straps could be a bit more fitted. But I am pleased enough with the size 8 (sized down) and even though the straps are a bit loose on me, they stay on my feet. The one thing that took a while to get used to is the bed of the sandal. It felt abrasive on the sole of my foot. To the point of uncomfortable. But after ten or more wears, I have gotten used to it.
