I'm not satisfied,because arm lamp not staying as you want and loses.

There is no doubt this is a beautiful floor lamp but be aware that the assembly process is somewhat difficult due to poor design and/or construction. 1-The marble base is very heavy making it difficult to maneuver while assembling. An extra pair of hands is helpful although not absolutely necessary. 2-The power cord is actually three separate cords that run through a small hole in the center of the marble base and makes an immediate 90° turn to exit the marble base on a small hole at the side. The small hole in the center barely has enough room for you to put your fingers in to grasp the cord to pull through to add or reduce slack. 3-The real problem is where the lamp post attaches to the marble base. The threaded post on which you screw the lamp post is only about an inch high, which is much too short to support a 6-ft tall column. This means the lamp post has a tendency to lean and not remain vertical. To compound matters, this threaded post on the marble base has threads that are too small and are not hardened enough. This makes it easy when screwing the post onto this base to get it misaligned -resulting in stripping these threads. This attachment post needs to be twice as large as it is with thicker threads that are much more hardened. 4-The two small reading bulbs on the sides of the lamp have a lock nut that screws down to the base to keep the shade in place. This lock nut is about an inch and a half in diameter but you cannot install it with your hand because the lamp shade interior is too narrow at the base. A tool is supplied which has a very long neck allowing you to hold the tool outside the shade, fit it over the locking nut, and tighten it to secure the shade to the main post. The problem is the tool doesn't properly fit the lock nut. At least mine didn't. 5-This lamp has a foot switch. I don't like foot switches, but it would be okay if it was one you tapped with the sole of your foot to turn the lamp on and off. But that's not how this switch is designed - it has a slide mechanism that you're supposed to slide back and forth with the sole of your foot. I hate it. Do you know how hard it is when you're over 70 years old to balance on one foot and use the other foot to very likely touch a piece of plastic and slide it back and forth? It's difficult. I gave this lamp a two-star rating. It is beautiful and it provides a lot of light - and a lot of floor lamps don't. But to be honest, I wish I hadn't bought it.

Beautiful and sturdy! The lamp base is made of marble which is heavy and makes it unlikely the lamp will fall over. I used it in my office to create a cozy reading nook. I absolutely love this lamp!
