Tramontina Bestow 4-Quart Cast Iron Enameled Braiser with Lid

Excellent braiser! Cooked many a roast and stew in this one with great results.

At first glance, it seems like a good product, but as I opened the shipping box which was fairly well engineered inside, I discovered a chip on one of the handles. Unsure if the damage occurred during shipping - the outside of the box was pretty well beat up but the inside seems to have done its job. Likely poor QC. In any event, it’s going back.

This pot is just beautiful. The weight and quality of the enamel coating is high quality. I am so excited to make braised chicken thighs and casseroles in this. I got an AMAZING price for the quality of the pan. It's spacious and just the right depth for a 2-person meal (with leftovers).

It’s large for two people, but it’s nice to have the space to cook larger meals. It should be more durable than the succession of nonstick skillets that I’ve previously purchased. It’s a very good item for the price, just be aware that it’s quite heavy. I like the sturdiness, but someone who has difficulty lifting might find it problematic.

This was purchased as a gift. Recipient has not used it yet. They said it looks beautiful and can't wait to use it.

I was looking for a deep and wide braiser and thought that this was the one when I saw that it was 5 inches in height. When I received it I saw that it was only 3 inches in the interior. The full 5 five inches is only when the lid is on the pot. It would be helpful to have the dimensions listed both with and without the lid. It does seem to be a very well made otherwise and is a beautiful piece of cookware.

I bought this gorgeous braising pot solely on the basis of having watched a TicTok video of someone making a scrumptious pork dish which required a quick braising, sautéing onions and peppers, saucing and simmering covered for2 hours. The Tramontina pot accomplished all those functions to perfection. And my family loved the dish and the lovely yellow pot.
