The item description on Macy’s.com describes the lamp as made out of glass. However, in reality it is made of plastic to look like glass. Imo, plastic will not hold up like glass will in the long run. Also, the lampshade is nothing to write home about, very plain looking and nothing special about it. For the kind of price tag they are asking, I feel it could’ve been made a lot better instead of looking rather cheap.
Very pretty, classy lamp. I would love to keep it for our new home but discovered it just doesn't work for the space intended. I misjudged the height and will look for a taller lamp.

The lamp is the perfect size as a bed side lamp. It works well in my. small room due to the clear color not feeling like too much.

This lamp is perfect for my needs. It throws off enough light so that I can see where I need to walk but still leaves most of the space quietly lit at night when I need to wind down and relax. Although this pretty lamp would probably blend into many different types of homes, I live in a small apartment in an old building. The lamp does not look out of place here. It's presence adds a pretty and happy glow. It was delivered safely by FedEx and placed on the doormat outside my apartment door 9 days after I had placed the order. I'm very happy with it.
