[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great jacket. It is lightweight but very rugged. It is waterproof for those wet days, and yet very well insulated by high quality down for protection against the cold. The styling is perfect for office or streetwear, but the jacket is also at home in the mountains. I have many Marmot products, but the Oslo Down Jacket is one of the best and a favorite of mine whenever it is cold, wet, or both.
Batten down the hatches when the weather goes sideways. This bomber jacket is made for frigid, wet climates. The Gore-Tex 2-layer shell keeps water out while down defender makes sure the 700-fill power down stays lofty. You'll be warm even when the jacket gets wet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a little long in the arms but not overly so. There are no retention straps in these but oddly I have a different brand parka that has shorter arms yet annoys me because the retention stains pop open all the time. So I prefer these sleeves in this even though they are a little long. It fits true to size. I have a 52 inch chest and wear the xxl. It feels lightweight yet is plenty warm. It’s very comfortable and looks great. I love the color (green) and the hood is a plus. It’s a brand I really trust. I have both their camping tents before and they are quality.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There's plenty to like about this coat. Gor-tex for waterproofing; nice insulation for warmth; longer length; nice hood; and plenty of pockets. But there were two dealbreakers for me that made me return it. First, the two-way zipper seemed awfully flimsy, and felt like it would separate at the bottom after not too many uses. Second, the sleeves are WAY too long (they covered my entire hand when at my side). Which might not have been a problem, except that there was no way to adjust them - no inside cuffs, no outside velcro adjustments. Which also meant that using gloves would have been pain. It felt that Marmot was cheapening out on items that should be standard on a parka with the price tag that it has. If you can live with these issues, then maybe this parka is for you. I can't and songs I returned it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Durable, waterproof shell over quality down - hard to find combo!!
It’s a cold winter 2026 here in NYC and a light fleece underneath as a middle layer and you’ll be alright. The only problem I have is the zipper. It’s a double slide zipper and after 1 month the zippers won’t release to open the jacket. I am waiting for customer care to get back for some advice or solution. If I can upload a video of the problem I would.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was looking for a nice coat to stay warm in Boston while walking the dog. Without remortgaging my house. Enter Marmot and the GORE-TEX Oslo Down Jacket and winner!!!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been searching for a winter coat with a hood that fits normal. Most coats are built to wear with a helmet while on the slopes. Although I used to shred, those days are over.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Oslo Down jacket is exactly what I was looking for and then some. Living at 7,500 feet in the Rockies, wind protection is a big deal. This coat does a great job. It’s toasty warm and comfortable, very well made. I’m 5’10” and 165 and the medium size fits nicely. Having a way to tighten cuffs would be a nice add on. As a bonus the coat arrived 3 days earlier than expected, which was wonderful as temps dropped to single digits and our husky dog Juno was eager to get outside. And the green color is cool and higher viz than black would be Highly recommend this jacket. When it’s really cold just add a layer and it’s good to go.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Beautiful, with a non-starter design flaw: The hood opening is much too small..if you zip up the parka all the way, the hood becomes way too tight around your neck. Absolutely beautiful garment otherwise, but I wish the designers had realized this. I would buy it again if this got addressed, but otherwise it's a no go.
