I gifting so my nieces can put their 3 wick candles on or candle holder w candle on trivet.... if bottom heats then the cork trivet protecting furniture, counter, whatever. I bought because I thought the silicone in the cork composite would make the cork more heat resistant & stronger. I bought more sets so I can use for casserole dishes. These are wonderful for protecting your counters & tables. Light weight & can also be used as coasters on coffee/end tables. Look nice too!
