I bought this on sale, otherwise I would’ve returned it. The fit is good – I’m 53 and bought petite. However, the fabric is just too limp and feels inexpensive – I expect more from Bloomingdale’s and Ralph Lauren. I’m going to have it laundered and starched and see if that adds more body and crispness.
Very breathable fabric and drapes well. The fit is great and it’s not very starchy, a bit soft. It wrinkles a little.
Excellent dress to wear with my boots and a long sweater.
The material is transparent without lining; the cost is little high of this quality. I bought dress from Bloomingdale (brand name as Hobb) & it has lining with the equivalent price
This is the first dress I've liked in a long time. I'm a pants girl typically, but the combination of a flattering sleeve, a great shirt collar, a flowy skirt in just the right length, the adjustable fit with the tie, good linen fabric, and it comes in petite sizes??? I all added up to a dress I loved. I started with the multi color floral print. After that I got the light blue. Then the white. Then the blush. Finally the navy. I never owned five of the same item in my entire adult life except for socks in a multipack. But I've been living in this dress, one color or another, all summer and I'll keep it up for the rest of the season and wear them again next summer. Do I recommend this dress? Absolutely yes!!!
Poor quality
Spring collections lean into highly lightweight, looser weaves. When these lighter linens undergo the factory pre-washing and sanforization processes to give them a casual, soft feel, they shrink up more vertically, resulting in a physically shorter total back length out of the box. I purchased also the exact same style from Fall collection. The material Resort wear is designed for travel, winter getaways, and transitional climates. Ralph Lauren historically cuts resort linen dresses with more coverage—favoring elongated midi, maxi, or sweeping handkerchief lines to withstand the fluctuating breezy climates of late autumn and coastal winter destinations. These information helped to understand the difference and I learned when to buy it if I want the garment to be a better quality.
Great dress. Classic style. It is Linen, so does get wrinkly. I got the peachy pink one, beautiful color. Light weight.
