Wheels are good, but plastic material scratched easily and expandable inserts collapse below the zipper line during air travel. This jams up the bag to open and crushes anything inside.
I bought this and the carry on as a shower gift for my future daughter in law. She is looking forward to using them for many years to come! Well made and good looking.

This is our second expandable spinner, we have the medium and while I like the medium, my wife likes more room and this is perfect. Solid build, handles, zippers, wheels all feel good. Be mindful, these bags are similar to other big dark blue bags. on our first trip a woman was half way out the door with the wrong bag, even with a bright colored handle strap…it would just be nice to have more colors to chose from.
I waited until our 12 day trip to Europe to review this bag. The room! The smooth wheels! The option to expand! I can't say enough positive things about this bag. I'm writing this review and then ordering the international carryon for my next trip.
So far I've only gotten to travel once with my set since I got them. They roll super smooth and look fantastic. I wish they didn't get scratched so easily, but I really don't that exists. But, so far so good. I like them.
I love Briggs and Riley. I own three other bags and this was my last size to buy…the big one. It is sturdy and I appreciate the quality as always, “but” it has an expansion piece that can pop up and expand significantly if you need it. What is happening for me is that I don’t need it to expand, and it is opening anyway. It makes it less sturdy and I am afraid it is going to tear up. It is definitely less stable that way.
We absolutely loved this piece of luggage. This was our first trip using it, and it performed exceptionally well on our travels to London and back. One of the biggest advantages was the expandable design. We definitely overpacked, and the extra space came in handy not only for our belongings but also for the items we purchased during our trip. Despite being packed very full, the zippers worked flawlessly with no issues at all. The suitcase offered plenty of room for everything we needed and remained easy to maneuver. Even when it became quite heavy, the smooth-rolling wheels made it feel much lighter than it actually was. The multiple handles were also a huge help when lifting and moving the luggage through airports and into vehicles. We also appreciated the built-in TSA lock. It was very easy to set up, simple to use throughout our trip, and provided extra peace of mind while traveling. Another unexpected benefit was how easy it was to spot on the baggage carousel. The design really stands out, making identification quick and easy. Overall, this is an extremely sturdy, well-designed piece of luggage that exceeded our expectations. We are very happy with our purchase, and now we just need to buy another one!
This unit is fantastic and is highly recommended for traveling when you need to go from terminal to terminal very easy on you. I will probably purchase another one soon. Thank you, Bill
