Fisher Price Castle Wooden 28-Piece Building Set, Ages 2+

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We absolutely love our new castle block set! Appearance: The light and beautiful colors of this set instantly appealed to my little girls who couldn’t wait to open the box. Function: this set has plenty of different shapes and sizes of pieces to mix and match and create a multitude of designs and play sets. It lended itself very well to building castles, as it was designed to do, but my girls also were able to use their imaginations and make other designs and creations like houses, a zoo, a fairy garden, and a Barbie playground. Bonus points: As a parent who constantly struggles with getting my kids to completely clean up a toy before moving on to the next toy- I VERY MUCH appreciate the design of this box. The wooden box the set comes in has the outlines of the pieces drawn on the box. This allowed for my kids to match the pieces exactly as they would do with a puzzle AND took the guesswork out of having to figure out how to get the blocks to actually fit back into its container. Perfect design!

My daughter is getting on the older end for playing with blocks, but she really enjoyed the different shapes and qualities of these. It’s also a bit of a puzzle putting them back in their container, but it’s labeled, so that’s helpful.

The only downside to this set is that it does not have a lid for when they are down playing with them. You can reorganize them back into the box, but there is no lid.

I like how there are outlines of each block on the inside of the wooden container it comes with to make it easy for kiddos to put them away.
