I like the tree with the exception of the lights. I have found in general with lighted trees and wreaths Balsam Hill are sparse on the lights. I would gladly pay more for a fuller amount of lights. I ordered the 3 footer it’s smaller than I thought. I like the quality overall. I did take the suggestion of putting a brick in the pot to hold it down from another review.
I purchased two of these potted trees, and they look amazing! I set them up outside on either side of my front door, and it only took a few minutes to set them up. It comes with a tree shaped remote control that easily turns the lights and off. I highly recommend this product.
It is unpacked and ready to go on our deck for the holidays. The tree is a pretty piece, but already I see a disappointing feature. The red berries appear to be a red coating over white styrofoam. If the red coating cracks or breaks, the white scar is unattractive. I had to snip off several berries when we unpacked the tree, and I wonder how durable the berries will be over the next few years of use.
I returned this tree because I was very disappointed in the quality. It was plastic and nowhere in the description did Balsam Hill state that it was plastic. I had previously purchased a 6.5 ft tree from Balsam Hill and I was very happy with it. When I requested to return the tree, I was told I'd have to pay the shipping and a restocking fee. This tree was very expensive for its size, and I actually only paid a little more for the larger tree than for this 4 ft tree. I don't think I'll be shopping at Balsam Hill anymore.
Absolutely beautiful! Bought the 4 foot last year and enjoyed so much we wanted the 3 foot.
I have wanted these trees since last Christmas but they have been sold out so when I saw they were in stock, I had to get them for our front porch. I’m looking forward to decorating for Christmas this year…I know our front porch will be beautiful.
Both trees we purchased were EXTREMELY hard to insert the tree pole into the stand box. The hole in the stand box was not made large enough. It took WD40 on the pole and in the stand plus two adult males to get the trees securely insert into both box stands. On one of the trees the electrical box that contains the battery the battery side is virtually impossible to open and the control side would not stay together and we had to secure with duct tape to keep it from coming apart. We expected a much better product from Balsam Hill. The do look very nice during the day and when lit at night.
Beautiful product that I had planned to display outside but it's so nice it's inside showing through a window. Especially great to have a remote for on/off.
I bought two and they looked great on my front porch. One of the controllers didn't work...at all. And the other controller only worked to turn one on and one off at a time. I can't turn both trees on and off at the same time. It is incredibly frustrating.
However, we had to sent wreath back and get another one because a spring was missing in the battery box. Then the tree automatic timer did not work. Back it went. Now , they are out of stock!!
