London Fog Women's Short Double-Breasted Belted Trench Coat

This is just what I was looking for, but I had not expected to have to move the decorative, non-functional buttons. They were too high by only 1/4 inch, but it was quite noticeable. I had expected better quality control from London Fog, but I am otherwise very happy with the coat.

The short doubled breasted trench was just what I was looking for. Bought it on-line and in my usual size. However, when I put it on, it had way too much volume to it. Size wise, it fit perfectly. Great color. The collar and shoulders are really big and contain shoulder pads and a lot of fabric - there is just too much of it. And yes, I wore shoulder pads and lived through that whole era. 😆 Sadly, I returned it and am still looking for a short, not cropped, trench.

I took this on a trip to Greece and France with me. I lost my umbrella the first day, so when it poured outside one day, I buttoned on the hood and hoped for the best. It kept me perfectly dry all day. The jacket is also very smart and stylish looking and doesn’t wrinkle. And it’s so much easier to bring a short rain jacket than a long coat when traveling. It’s a classic jacket that I’ll wear for years.

Exceptionally fine quality

This is a nice quality jacket as you’d expect from London Fog. I was hesitant to buy it because, according to the size chart, it runs small. However, I have a longer trench coat by London Fog that fits perfectly so I took a chance. I’m glad I did. I bought my normal size and it fits oversized like it shows on the model. This will easily fit over my bulkiest sweaters, and still be loose. That said, if you are between sizes I’d size down. The length is perfect. The sleeve length is perfect. The British khaki color is the perfect shade of tan. The belt is very long, maybe meant for tying. I got it on sale so I would say a great buy.

I like the jacket, but the belt was missing the medsl hook on the belt for closure.
