This is a well constructed top. The fabric under the fringe is thick with a little stretch. It's the fabric used in body conscious dresses. It fits very well and lays flat on the body. I needed a large but it was not available so I got the medium and it fits a little close around the lower waist area, but it lays flat doesn't ride up and the fringes camouflage what ever is going on under it
