I purchased this wok 5 weeks ago and starting using it right away. I washed it in the dishwasher and it came out with spots of rust. I wish I could complain to the manufacturer and still receive my money back but couldn't do anything about it because I missed the return window.

This stir fry pan is well made. It has a nice heft without being heavy. It’s well-balanced, easy to handle, and cooks food evenly. The pan came pre-seasoned but I followed the instructions for additional seasoning before using it. I stir fried chicken and vegetables and the pan came clean easily with just a little rinsing.
It's been a great addition to my kitchen. Right out of the box, I loved the look of it and the birch handle feels sturdy and adds a nice touch. This pan is really nice. It’s a good weight, heavy but not too heavy. I made grilled cheese first in it and they turned out great. I also fried some chicken in it which also turned out really good. I haven’t made stir fry in it yet but plan to soon!
The Joyce Chen wok was sturdy with a good design but with one exception - it was NOT perfectly round. One quadrant was slightly misshapen. It was not a shipping issue as the delivery box was in good condition so I can only surmise it was a quality control issue. However it did still perform well in a stir-fry situation. It is well-balanced and the handle is of good quality. Heats evenly.
The stir fry pan is just ok i was expecting it to be more on the heavy-duty size but it is a lightweight pan, although it says it is preseasoned I did not get that from this pan using it, dont know maybe am wrong, but it is a nice size pan and the wooden angle makes it wasy to use.
