Fortessa Ellsie 20-Pc. Flatware Set, Service For 4

I definitely don’t recommend these. While the appearance is very attractive, they are unbalanced (the bases are much heavier than the tops so they slide very easily into bowls and plates of food). Additionally, I received damaged and/or defective pieces in three out of five sets I ordered! Multiple pieces were either poorly milled (rough unfinished spots), had bent tines, and/or they came with small divots and/or small bits of metal embedded in the surface. One spoon came pitted and is already rusting. One knife was attached to the box front with, I kid you not, a rusty and uncovered piece of wire. These quality control issues really surprised me from Fortessa. I purchased four sets of Fortessa Modern Coupe dishes a few years ago + extra pieces recently and they’ve all been beautiful, high quality, and worn very well. Perhaps the three inferior sets of flatware I received were seconds or returns but if so, they shouldn’t have been sent out as new merchandise.

absolutely beautiful set, maybe more delicate/thin then other designs by fortessa -- even though weight is listed as 18/10 and hand feel is good. It might be just the design, but the knives/tines feel a little 'flexy' in comparison to a Grand City set I ordered. Regardless, keeping the Ellsie!
