Viking Pure Glide Stainless Steel 6-Quart Dutch Oven

This pot delivers everything promised. It is beautiful and not only truly nonstick, but impervious to damage and extremely easy to clean. We love it.

I have used it twice already and I couldn't be happier!!!

This 6 qt. Viking dutch oven was purchased to replace my 25-year old stainless steel 6 qt. pot with a copper bottom that has started to separate from the body. I decided to look for something that I hope is durable, safe and nonstick for many decades to come. So far I have been happily impressed with the nonstick ability of the titanium-type interior coating as well as the quality exterior stainless steel body and lid. Clean up is a breeze. The only one thing negative to say is that the handles get hotter than my previous pot using it on my gas stove.

I really like the 6 qt stockpot. It’s a nice weight, size, heats well and cleans easily. My only reason for knocking 1 star off is that the lid is too light and thin. I’m afraid any accidental little bump will dent it. I can’t really rate the fry pan set I ordered yet because they forgot to send it along with my stockpot order. Thankfully Macys was very helpful at their store to re-order the set for me. I just have to make an extra trip back to the store now.

I have always needed a soup pot this size that was easier to lift than my LeCreuset. Plus it is beautiful

When I received this pan I was super excited to try cooking with this Viking 6qt dutch oven. The look of this pan is really nice and has a good weight to it. I was a little concerened how heavy it might be full but, it really wasnt that much heavier full. I liked how nice the handles are shaped and how easy it is to grip them with a full pan of food. I was really impressed how quickly and evenly the meat sautéed with the onions, garlic and bell peppers without having to worry about them sticking. Im looking forward to cooking many more meals as well as trying to bake sourdough and sweet treats as well with this dutch oven. Im highly impressed with not only how nice it looks but how well it cooked my meal. I think it deserves more that yhe five stars it allows and will be definitely starting to add more of the Viking cook ware to my home. You won't be disappointed, we'll worth the money spent.
