NEW Double Wear Stay-in-Place Lightweight Longwear Matte Foundation with 36H Wear

WHAT HAPPENED! I’ve never had a foundation separate during application! I’ve tried everything to make this work, the old formula was amazing. This product almost ruined my wedding day. So so so disappointed. I used to always come back to this product, but I will never come back to this product again. Haus labs it is for me.

I really miss the original formula. The new double wear looks more yellowish, is nowhere near as long-wearing, and isn’t as buildable as it used to be. It also transfers much more easily, from my experience it always leaves a mark if I hug someone, for example. The packaging has gotten worse too. The foundation constantly spills everywhere. I used double wear for 20 years, but now I’m looking for a replacement from another brand. I’m honestly so sad they changed it.

What used to be the best foundation I have ever tried and my loyal flawless base for 10 years became the most patchy , hard to work with , dry and tacky foundation I have every tried. How can a foundation be so thin and so mask like at the same time , the original formula looked impeccable on top of a good moisturizer and was totally sweat - everything proof but this is impossible to work with I’m heartbroken and I don’t know what I will do when the old but I have left if finally finish

I loved the old double wear foundation it was the BEST. This new formulation is AWFUL do not buy!! So thin, not a good shade for my skin tone. I would not recommend this anymore. So disappointed that they thought they needed to change a perfect formulation.

It’s on sale and still not worth it. New formula ruined a perfectly good product.

The literal best foundation that I have used for over 15yrs has suddenly changed to the worst possible version. They 'rebranded' and 'reimagined' the Double Wear into something completely different. I don't understand how a company can even say it is the same thing!? This new Double Wear is very thin, runny and should come with a pump for starters. It dries quicker than the old double wear so you have to work faster or else it doesn't blend nicely. It doesn't dry completely ever for that soft matte feel the old used to give you. In fact it stays kinda tacky or sticky almost throughout the day. When I tried to do a second layer (as it is thinner now) - it just cakes on into the creases. The color shades are off as well compared to the old. Beyond disappointed that I am now left leaving the brand after so long and searching for a new foundation to love. I am personally going to try MAC as they have a Matte foundation that is thicker and comparable to the old Double Wear. Shame of Estée Lauder for changing something that worked so well. They RUNIED the best foundation of all time !! Why ?!? It was so flawless. And had perfect color matching. Now every color is a shade of orange. Light to dark , All orange. And it’s no longer dense. It pours down your face and hand like runny water . So sad .

this new formula changed and not for good. this was my holy grail. very disappointed. I'm oily and three old one was the GOAT.

I have tried and tried to use this foundation and I just give up. I’ve tried it on a bare face, on a primed face, on a face with skincare. I have tried it with my fingers, a brush and a damp beauty blender. This is by far the worst foundation I have ever used. It doesn’t blend no matter how fast you work. It pills and moves into blotches on the skin. It floods pores and enhances them. It enhances wrinkles, pimples, and any dry areas you may have. I even tried mixing it with a little skincare to see if that at least helped with blendability but it doesn’t. It also settles into cracks on my chin and around my nose. It’s very expensive so I didn’t want to have wasted my hard earned money but it looks like I did just that. There are plenty of drugstore brands that are worlds better than this foundation. I expected better from Este Lauder.

I love the old formula, I used for over 15 years. I recently tried to replenish it but found out they changed the formula. I really tried to like this new formula. Unfortunately the color is no longer the same and it also oxidizes. By the end of the day I looked burnt/orange. I exchanged it for another color about three other times, went lighter shades. Same thing happened. I finally gave up. I am saving my last bottle of original formula for my wedding day. If u have any recommendations for foundation please send my way. I tried benefit pore professional. It’s ok but it is very matte which I loved. Unfortunately it oxidizes. now I’m trying Hourglass ambient soft glow foundation. It actually doesn’t oxidize, but it’s not as matte as the OG Estee. For now I’m using hourglass but I’m still on the hunt for the perfect OG estee dupe.
