The size of this bowl is very well suited for breakfast bowl of cereal. The high sides of it allows for milk to be added and not spill out. It is dishwasher and microwave safe which is always a plus.
After getting this bowl I use it essentially for everything. It is the optimal depth for liquid foods like soup or cereal, and even for rice bowls it’s deep enough to add a fair serving and still able to mix around without worrying about over flow or spilling. It is the best for ice cream: I can serve myself a generous amount and at the end the melted slurry is easy to scoop from the bottom. If need be this bowl can be used for a smaller serving à la carte to share (dipping sauce, gravy, even a fruit bowl to wash). This bowl being a decent sized ceramic piece is not too heavy to carry to and from the table. It is easy to hold and not over encumbering to hand wash even though it is dishwasher safe. Its design is minimal and sleek and matches any typical white ceramic dish-ware despite being different brands. This bowl is literally called “the everything bowl” around my house.
I really like this bowl. It’s deep and durable. It cleans nicely as well. The white is REALLY white, I would have preferred another color. I can prep my dinner in it because of the size and use it to eat out of as well. My kids use it for cereal and that works too!
Haven’t used but was the right size and looks similar to older Jamie Oliver dishes that are fantastic
