The extra wide is great for my 7 year old son who has thick wide feet. The only thing that I didn’t like about it was the valco strap that goes on the ankle.. it was not long enough for my sons wide ankles.

We bought this for our 5-year old son because it came in a "wide". The shoe seems to be very well made and our son has enjoyed them. It seems to do well both in the classroom and on the playground!
The width of the shoe is good, but the valcrow strap is too short. Not trying to be rude, but if a person's is asking for a wide width shoe, that means the whole foot is big. The valcro strap could be at least a 1/2 inch longer.
This is my 8 year olds 2nd pair! She had a pair last year and loved them so much she wanted to get the same pair again this year! I love that we don’t have to worry about laces untying and anyone tripping. These are great shoes that hold up well, too!
I love the shoe. I hate the Velcro strap, it’s too short and comes undone.
Love the extra wide. My daughter loves them and they are so cute and comfy. And they last until she outgrows them . These are our third pair of new balances and they have become our quintessential back to school shoe. I’d rather buy one pair of good shoes that last than 3 pairs of poor quality shoes that fall apart. And these are machine washable.

We have exclusively bought New Balance shoes for our 4 year old. He loves them. Except these. They caused him a lot of pain on the side of his foot. When I investigated there was a protruding lump inside the shoe which was clearly irritating his foot. We were both disappointed as he loved the colors. They were returned. There was a lack of boy colors this season
My entire family love the new new balance feel, i bought the wrong size thats the only reason why i gave it a 3 star and it was my own fault
