[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is by far the best Lego I’ve ever built, i absolutely love Harry Potter and Lego and together they have managed to capture all the details from the movie scenes in this Lego, the little details are amazing from the characters looking exactly like they should to the accessories like the cauldron and books it is honestly exquisite you can pull certain parts out and open them out and display them as scenes from the films.
Just started collecting the harry potter castle sets for my daughter
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Lego hogwarts castle was the best set we enjoyed building this by far any of the other sets! The details is amazing. Took about 10 hours in total. Instructions were easy enough to follow and didn’t have any issues putting it together at all. Love all the character figures and the basilisk is a fab touch! Think the RRP is spot on for a set of this calibre.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely loved building this,Love Lego so soon as it came i had to make a start, kept me busy and even my sons age 19 and 15 helped.very appropriate for age group, will definitely be buying more to add onto it.If anyone Loves Lego i definitely recommend the Harry Potter castle it’s fantastic.
This set was very fun to build. The minifigure, and the amount of them, are great. Really appreciate the chamber of secrets area very cool with great accessories. This was genuinely one of the most interesting and enjoyable builds I’ve done. Highly recommend in general and certainly for the Hogwarts castle.
Excellent set. Very detailed. Easy to build. Great minifigures galore. If a change for the better could have been done, it’s the parts used to connect the bridge
Had a great time putting the new castle complete set together! I think the details are amazing and I hope they continue to come out with other builds for this set. Clock tower, astronomy, maybe a quidditch field.
If you've already bought the other parts of this castle, it stands to reason that you will buy this set no matter what the reviews say; it is a necessary part of the castle and does look great. My problem with the set stems from two things. The first is the splitting up the build into ten different books so people can build together. This would be one thing (still bad) if it was just the books, but it carries over into the build. The actual structure seems weak because the castle is split up into seven different segments atop the rock. The columns could be single pieces but instead are half pieces to make this work. This also leaves the girls' bathroom with no door. Good set design should come first and it didn't in this case. The second is a symptom of this whole iteration of Hogwarts. The connections between castle segments are poor. If you attach the Hospital Wing where they say to, it doesn't fit well with the Main Tower. There is a gap and the Ravenclaw common room has a window into the Gryffindor one. There would still be a gap if you moved that to the side of the East Wing. Also, the main bridge here works, but the small one is big and clunky in that you can't even fit minifigures through the door and the under side doesn't match. Another major gap is the space between the Great Hall and the Main Tower. These aren't a reason to not get these sets, as this truly is the best Hogwarts Lego has done, but it just seems like the most detailed Hogwarts ever is missing some very obvious details. As it stands, this was my least favorite of all of the main castle parts. The minifigures are great, though, and I hope this iteration continues beyond this.
I love Harry Potter, so this was a guaranteed ourchase
