I don’t love my new machine - trying to reassemble the washer head is very tricky with an arthritic thumb and if I’d not thrown away all the packing I would have returned it. I don’t think it’s very user friendly-which is unusual because my other Dyson products are great.

I misread the advertisement — as I thought that it could also be used as a vacuum cleaner!!! As a solid floor cleaner it’s very good — but not exceptional. As I’m 83 and my wife 87 - it’s my 55 year old son that uses it most. He’s pretty fussy — and he likes using it. However, its “set-up” and cleaning afterwards - is quite complicated and time consuming!!! We are fond of Dyson and as always - should be reliable and robust. DURABLE! Recommend.
The Dyson pencil wash is very fast and picks up on whatever mess you have on the floor. I love it for for dog messes And just a general dirty floor that's easier than mopping with a traditional mop . Love my purchase would rate it 10 stars if I could!
We have been having issues with the cleaner leaving streaks when drying. Not sure if it’s from what we are using to clean the floor or the machine but my floor looks terrible after drying.
Excellent cleaning and operation. Definitely for smaller spaces on one little tank (<2000 sq ft). Moved well and mops well too while picking up small debris/dirt and cat hair.
Found it hard to get the cassette to click back in to base and meet red button. Edge of plastic splayed out and didn’t go easily into the grooves Cleaned floor well once assembled.
Try fiddly to assemble the brush head and easy to damage the red waste water cover strip
Bought PencilWash after experiencing the joy of using the PencilVac. Shipped and delivered within 2 business days. It’s a bit more finicky, since clean and dirty water are involved, but it’s lighter and more manoeuvrable than the WashG1. Clean water tank runs out before the battery does. Spilling and drips from dirty water tank is possible since it’s open/manually covered with a plastic tray. Having to wait for the roller to dry before putting away is slightly annoying, but understandable to prevent odours. Also needing to fill the clean water tank and wet the roller before use is inconvenient. Its portability and lightweight makes washing stairs quite easy, not needing to fiddle with a mop/bucket or rag. Not as convenient to use as the PencilVac with FluffyCones, since it’s separate pieces and non-magnetic charging. There doesn’t seem to be a way to check the battery life.
I'm glad I bough it. I like that it's light and easy to manouver and clean. I find it sometimes difficult to snap it back together. however. I haven't used it much so far as I'm still looking where to buy the 02 Probiotic Hard Floor Cleaning Solution. It seems to be the best product to have. It could have been a 5 Star, had it been included !!
