Beautiful but runs small in the arm pit area

I really like this jacket. The look and weight of it is perfect for fall and spring. The reason I gave it 4 stars if the medium which I ordered was tight in the arm pit are so if I wanted to wear a sweater it would not work. The large is sold out so had to return it. I am 5'4" 138 for reference.
