Briggs & Riley ZDX U-Zip Small Travel Backpack

Love this bag so much almost tempted to buy another. Has all the right pockets in the right place when traveling. Top pocket perfect for sunglasses, charge pack, cords, snacks, etc. Laptop holds my 17” with ease, to where I almost forget its there when I wear it. And the inside pocket (goes against your back side) is perfect for passports, wallet, tickets, etc. The shoe pocket is perfect for flat-ish shoes (sandals/low tops) if you want to use the main compartment to its fullest. Main pocket was perfect for multiple pairs of sunglasses, toiletries, laptop battery/charger, neck pillow, etc. Bag is perfect!

Fit under the window seat in main of a Delta 737-900ER, which are quite small, but I had to keep one foot under it instead of beside it. Chest strap came in handy and really took the load off my shoulders. Fit a Briggs large packing cube stuffed with 4 days of socks/boxers/shirts/1 dress pant/ 1 quarter zip, a toiletry bag, a tech organizer, a laptop (not in the sleeve because it made things thicker), quart bag of liquids, day bag on top of all that in the main compartment. Still had room in the top pocket for all my quick access things and you can fit an entire full-size set of headphones easily in there if you want. It gets pushed out from what is packed in the main but you shove the material back in and create a custom pocket of sorts. I used the water bottle holder on the side that comes out with elastic instead of the one advertised in the zipper pocket, I am not even sure they mention there are technically 2 water bottle pockets. I fit a 20oz bottle without issue in it. Tracker pocket was a nice touch as was RFID (love the orange), I liked all the other random outside pockets for random receipts and such. I didn't have a use for the bottom shoe pocket this round but I can see once in a blue moon to be glad it's there, it was nice the bag sat flat and stood up on its own. On the way back I fit in a drinking cup, a larger sweater, a hat, a really thick book, and a cloth tote. For a weekend trip I think you'd have room for trinkets, after the 4-5 day mark you'll be hauling a second bag. Security guards at Moscone Center in San Francisco really liked the bag, and you know they have seen a lot of bags.
