Hello, I am 140lbs I purchased L fits great. Real light weight flowy fabric. It does have 2 layers but very thin. Definitely can dress up or down. Only flaw was the straps. I had to reinforce them cause the stiching came undone. I still recommend it. Its a lovely fresh dress..
