It is a little louder than I thought it would be, but it clips through bridle paths easily and does a good job of cleaning up my horses' faces. I love the cordless feature as it allows me to better work on clipping with one of my horses, as he doesn't like it by his bridle path. I can easily follow him around with it as he moves away and not have to worry about running out of cord. I am happy with the performance.
Bought this clipper to use for a sanitary clip on one of our barn cats. The clipper did an ok job however it is loud. Don’t know how it would perform on horses. Don’t think my horse would like his ears clipped with it.
