Vitamix 48-ounce Container with SELF-DETECT

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just began researching milled flour. As I shopped I was confronted with many options,ranging from low to high prices. Since I’m just a beginner I opted for a reliable ,lower price option.since I already owned a Vitamix machine ,it seemed logical to purchase the dry container so that it could also be used for other purposes. It has performed beautifully. It may not grind as fine as a mill machine but it has served my purposes for now. I’m really enjoying using it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had my Vitamix for years, I do put my container in the dishwasher because I’m lazy. I noticed it was discolored under the blade so I thought maybe a new container was needed.

I have had other Vitamix for more than 10 years and never had any problems with it, then I bought a newer model and this container fell down after 3 years and cracked, now it is useless.

Works beautifully!! Grinds up wheatberries into flour easily! Love this!!!

I'm on my 3rd 48 ounce container. The self detect keeps breaking. Vitamix has replaced the containers each time. Most recent replacement lasted less than a year. This is not something I expected from Vitamix. The self detect gimmick should be abandoned.

Ive had my vitamix for several years and really like the size of the smaller blender

Save your money! I really wanted to like this container because of its small size, and I needed a container this size, but this container really does the blender a disservice. I've made different things in this container, trying different ingredients, and it just doesn't blend them properly. Sometimes, I have to run the blender for almost two minutes, and even then, there are still chunks left over. I've used the tamper more than ever, and still, there is not much difference. My old cheap blender worked better than this one. Even mixing dry protein powder with liquid is impossible. I end up with lumps or dry powder on the side of the container. I honestly don't understand this container. I ended up using my larger one for most things, which defeats the purpose of why I purchased this one. I did notice that the container moves a bit on the blender when it starts and I have to hold it in place, and even still, it doesn't change its performance. What a shame!

This container was cracked when I got it. I would like to get a replacement or a refund

Ordering and using this smaller container is a game changer for me. The 64 oz container that cones with the Ascent series was so large for everyday smoothies. Now that I purchased the smaller container, smoothies are a breeze snd i don’t dread handling the container and I therefore want to use it more.

This has been perfect for making oat flour and grinding coffee beans! Haven't tried fully making bread dough in it but I'm looking forward to it.
