Villeroy & Boch French Garden 12 Pc. Dinnerware Set, Service for 4, Exclusively at Macy’s

I ordered this set, but just opened it today because my husband has been back and forth to Mayo Clinic in treatment. I am finally home for a while to get some things done, so I opened up the dishes I’ve been so excited about. The dinner plate on the bottom is broken! I absolutely love the dishes, but someone along the way had to have slammed this box down hard. The wrapping inside is too good for it not to be a hard drop. Please advise!

Villeroy & Boch. French Garden Dinnerware... beautiful dishes. Well packed. So pretty. Bowls have a nice design ripe all around.

The plates were packed on the bottom of the package and two arrived broken. I called Macys to complain about the UPS driver who apparently threw the package (I heard it hit my door), and was told that because it was "glass" I could not just get replacements for the 2 broken plates, but had to get a refund. I was told to keep the set since they would not replace the broken glass pieces, at no cost to me. HOWEVER, I still see a charge on my credit card, despite talking with Macys customer rep, who specifically told me to NOT SEND back any pieces as it was sold as a set, and is therefore not reuseable. Two days have passed since I called Macys for a refund, and although it shows a refund on my Macy's account, I see NO refund on my credit card online. I am waiting to see if this gets correctec, or if I have to recall Macy's again to get my $$ back.

I love this French Garden dinnerware set, nice design, very good quality. Previously I bought 2 sets, so with this one I completed dinnerware for 12 people.

It's a design that is perfect for spring and summer.

I have been using these elegant dinnerware pieces as my everyday dishes for a while now and have been delighted at how well they hold up. Daily use. No chipping. Regular dishwasher use. I began with a set of four, bought another set of 4, then again another set of 4. I have since added their matching teapot and will likely continue adding various other pieces. Highly recommended.

We were so happy our Christmas to the engaged couple got to them in such a timely manner. However, I noticed that our item has not been noted as 1 being purchased. I hope this does not cause them any problems with too many sets being purchased. Thank you.
