Luigi Bormioli Classico Highball Glasses, Set of 4

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I want to update my review. Luigi Bormioli did honor their warranty and replaced my chipped glasses.

I just received these. Only ordered four as I wanted to make sure I like them. Photo is not what they look like, they look almost tapered. But measured and they are not Heavy thick bottom and top rim is thinner than I hoped. Too thin in my opinion. I hope they hold up. I notice they are no longer available after a week from receiving so even if I wanted to I could not order. After reading the reviews now, I notice a lot of them have broken. I can see how this would happen as they are too heavy on the bottom for lightweight thin top. I saw the 25 year warranty and purchased. Says dishwasher safe so I shall see.

Luigi Bormioli ate great glasses - durable and do not fog up and become cloudy

I purchased these glasses for their touted durability and clarity. That has not been my experience. Within three months, two of the four glasses have chipped in the dishwasher (one actually completely shattered). A third glass has an imperfection - a small air bubble encased in the wall of the glass. With a stated 25 year warranty, I was expecting a much higher quality product. When I tried (twice) to register my purchase to make a claim, the website wouldn’t load either time. I’m going back to my bargain store glasses.

If I could I would take a half star off I would because they chip more often than not in the dishwasher but they have a 25 yr guarantee and the company reportedly replace them.

I keep buying these because they are very nice, but the glass is quite thin and they don't take being banged around.
