Travelpro Platinum Elite 16" Carry-On Spinner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Over the years my wife and I noticed that many cabin crew use Travel Pro carry on luggage as their brand.

Elite is the correct name for this carry-on. We searched high and low for a great carry-on. An investment that would last a very long time rather than some fly by night new brand with no market longevity and reputation. TravelPro came up on top of every research. It is sturdy and spacious and we know it will last a long time.

The wheels on this small carry on are very smooth and work well. It is a stylish suit case with loads of pockets to organize your items. I would say there are couple of major drawbacks making me rethink the purchase of this carry on suitcase. First, there is no place to put a water bottle, so I had to juggle it while traveling. Second there is no side handle, so when you have to place the luggage on it's side there is no way to carry it. Third, there is no strap on the back to attach this carry on to another suitcase, making it another thing to juggle along with the water bottle. I ended up doing the "hold the two telescope handles" with the cases back to back to run into the airport. The last item I have an issue with are the zippers in the main compartment. If you don't have the velcro strip just right, the zippers get stuck. Even if you have the velcro strips done correctly they still get pushed out by the inside contents making the zippers impossible to zip up without pushing the velcro strips back in. Not a great design.

I just assumed there would be a strap to go over a bigger bags handle. ,disappointing but the bag as a whole and the size is good.

Perfect for the 2-3 day business trip. can fit at least two changes of clothes, a pair of sneakers and gym clothes along with your toiletries as well as your laptop, tablet and power cables. . . game changer for short business trips. Well worth the price i paid.

This rolling bag is so light and perfect for my daily work materials.

I’m impressed with the smooth wheels and the quality of the product. It rolls very well. For a small carry on I prefer more pockets for organizing my items. I had to use my own pouches and bags to fill the large interior area. Not as easy to quickly grab an item as my previous carry on. (Which is what you want when you’re getting settled on the plane!) The way the larger main section opens is a bit annoying with the Velcro and the big snap.

This is a great bag if you fly on a lot of commuter airlines or take 1 or 2-day trips. One small drawback is that is it relatively heavy at over 7lbs.

Will not fit under airplane seat. So it is treated as a suitcase not personal item. Might as well just travel with full roll aboard.

Love this little spinner tote. I can fill it with clothes and toiletries for the weekend plus my electronic gadgets and other small items. Load it in my car and I’m off!!
