Demeyere Atlantis 8.5-Qt. Stainless Steel Stockpot

We used it to make porridge, and it turned out great. I believe the quality of the pot makes the difference. We have made porridge before using other pots, but the results were never as good.

We bought this Demeyere 8.5 qt stock pot while on vacation in Carlsbad, CA. We used the pot that night to cook our first meal which is "jook" or porridge. This pot is fantastic in retaining the heat. It made the meal so much more delicious.

Easy to hold and I love that there aren’t any holes on the inside so it’s a breeze to clean!

I love the weight and durability of the Atlantis model. Prior to switching over I had tried another popular stainless steel brand set and comparing the two you can tell the Atlantis model is made to last long! What I like most of all is the thick bottom. I don't have to worry as much about warping. Which is a bonus for a busy mom like myself.

Ive been looking for the best of the best in cookware. There is no many that say they are the best. Until you really put your hands on the weight of the Demeyere Atlantis, there is nothing is spectacular in heavy steel and quality of heat distribution once you start to cook. The pot is so amazingly ergonomic in design and a pouring lip. The lid is well design and not too heavy. I love the handles on this pot as it is easy to hold and pick up. The welding is so miticulous and clean and smooth. I love making pho (Vietnamese Beef Broth Soup) in this pot. I dont get nervous on simmering it for hours. I have my Zline induction stove and that is another out of this world best ever. I really hope anyone reading my review that it is that easy to buy this Demeyere Atlantis 7, dont be scare, make the purchase. Just go ahead and jump into it and not settle for the Industry model, the retention is there if you buy the top of the line. I think this is one of those cookware you pass on to future generations and it holds up. On another note, browning in this pan is awesome for large lamb shanks or roast. The heat is so even.

The dimensional shape of this stockpot is my ideal as it is narrow & tall for optimizing stock quality. Capacity is perfect for average home cook when not making bigger batches of stock. This specific stick pot from the Atlantis line is the Cadillac of stock pots. Hopefully one day Demeyere offers larger sizes

Great stock pot! Lid is snug and heavy enough that there's no spitting. Of course, it's Demeyre, the handles stay cool. I reheated pea soup and the heating was even with no hot spots or over cooking, despite the patches of thicker soup. Pours really well.

I like that the pot is welded! No rivet heads to interfere with cleaning!
