[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I was offered this campaign I was very excited because I have been wanting to replace my knives for awhile. I liked that the knife block didn’t seem to bulky since I have limited counter space and while i hadn’t heard of the brand Berghoff before this campaign I discovered they are a fairly known brand. The knives arrived a week ago, my first impressions upon opening the set are what knocked a star off my review, the kitchen scissors that came in my set have what looks like rust at the point where the 2 blades join, while trying to see if it could be rubbed off I did discover a cool feature of the scissors, the blades are easy to separate for cleaning but also with that if not put together correctly they fall apart pretty easily. I didn’t want the scissors to speak for the full set however so I used the knives later when making dinner and found that they were very sharp and easily cut through all of the vegetables I was preparing even the tomatoes without squishing them. The knives feel like good quality and I am excited to keep using them to see how durable they are in the long run.

Constructed in one solid piece and incredibly sharp. I anticipate being able to rely on them for a long time.

I don't write reviews, and today I have found myself on this product page trying to find a replacement knife because refuse to retire this set and buy a new one. I noticed immediately these knives don't have any reviews by anyone I'm so surprised. Every person I take my knives to love them and compliment the weight and balance. I love that the block is minimal and doesn't take up a square mile on your counter.

One of the best we have ever owned. Came across with them at a beach rental home, and I was so impressed. Finally I own this now.

Bought two sets of these for my kid's homes. Much lighter weight than expected. Despite efforts to conceal where they are made, once you get the box you find out they are "Made in the PRC". Not that I expected American or German made at that price, but the consumer should be able to easily determine origin prior to buying. Needed sharpening out the box, but OK for everyday now that they are sharpened.

Knives are a little light weight and storage box is slim and wobbly, picture doesn’t represent it’s slenderness
