i bought it thinking that it is dishwasher safe . it turned out black . very disapointed you buy kitcheanaid thinking that it is quality

The product does an excellent job at grinding and is so easy to use.

I've been buying Kitchen Aid products for over 35 years. Loved then all... But this one is questionable. No where in any description has anything said, anything about not putting this Metal Food Grinder in the dishwasher... What is the first thing you do when you something, its wash it... I don't care if Pots and Pans or Cloths, you wash it. So what did do, I put in the dishwasher. I must say when I took it out of the dishwasher it was black, my hands turned black, I was in shock... What just happened... I started to hand clean it and noticed, in maybe 1/8" print on the bottom --- Not Dishwasher Safe ---. This is 2026 and Kitchen Aid is still making products at are not Dishwasher Safe, --- Unbelievable ---. I have used it once after cleaning it. To make sure there was on black stuff in it, I put a half of loaf of bread through it to clean it out. Washing it by hand --- The cleaning bush that came with it is not strong enough to clean out meat products. Washing it by hand took about 10 minutes in hot water. Rinsing it with hot water, you will burn your hands.

I got this for my husband’s birthday along with a stand mixer, but unfortunately, he is not happy with it. Making sausage with it is such a pain. It is very slow, and the meat hardly comes out. I think the main reason is that the grinder body is too narrow. The machine also gets warm very quickly, even though we partially froze the meat and kept the grinder body in the freezer beforehand to keep everything cold. I also used it to grind chickpeas, and it did a good job with that.

it's ok grinder but you absolutely can't buy replacement plates or knives for it, for that rezone I don't recommend to buy it!

I received this accessory as a birthday gift. After using it for the first time, I put it in the dishwasher, and it was completely ruined. The burnished aluminum finish came off, leaving it dark and essentially unusable. I’m surprised the product doesn’t have a clear, visible warning that it is not dishwasher-safe, or at least a much more obvious notice about it.

KitchenAid manufacturers are a joke. You would never see anything like this in European appliances. After using the meat grinder attachment, meat gets pushed into the internal part of the mixer, and then the mixer starts to smell like rotten meat. You have to take the entire mixer apart and clean the inside. I mean removing all the screws and opening the mixer housing! This is disgusting. It is completely unacceptable. Minus 100 stars for the design of their appliances. I want KitchenAid to explain how it is possible to manufacture appliances like this in the 21st century. I am waiting for a response from KitchenAid. Horrible.
