Easy to use, makes great coffee

The Barista Touch strikes the perfect balance between convenience and café-quality coffee. Excellent espresso machine. This is my second Breville touc machine (last machine was 7 years old and was starting to act tired) and I love it. The automatic grind and milk froth are amazing. My family loves the instant steam from the machine versus typical machines that take several minutes to heat up.

Decided to splurge this year after many years of drip coffee. Friends have a Barista Touch and always loved the special coffees, especially flat whites. Even though they say this machine is the easier one to use, it’s still a bit of a challenge learning the ins and outs. Watching online videos has been helpful. I have no regrets and the quality of the drinks has been excellent. Very happy to have purchased.

I have been using Breville espresso machine for over a decade. I upgraded my old one to this and love it.

When i try to steam milk every time the machine turns off by itself …only used 2 months and have issues for 1k. Not i have to deal with warranty…

We bought this machine hope for good quality coffees. The temperature is always coolish no matter what heat setting is set. The wand never produces silky micro froth no matter what setting. Have trouble shot via video calls with the service centre (in South Africa) with no improvement. The machine has been to authorised service centre and has been worse each time. Trying to deal with anyone at Breville is impossible and just get contiuely generic email responses (written in poor English so I'm guessing they are from South Africa). Got nowhere to turn so have no alternative but to throw the machine out and purchase another brand...piece of junk and stay away from anything Breville

This is my second Barista touch, my old one has issues every now and then, I phoned to see if I could get it repaired and I was told I could send it in for a service or I could get a new one for a special offer. I purchased a new machine, as we love the barista touch, I live in a small country town Coolgardie WA, we have no coffee cafe’s here so I have plenty of my friends and family that come to our house for their coffee fix. I am going to call Breville to get my old machine serviced.

Love the coffee but it takes a lot of patience to make a good cup of coffee which is so much like the European coffees . It was a gift for my husband’s birthday and he loves it. The only reason it’s not a 5 star is it’s a bit too complicated for us.

So far, using this machine has been a struggle. I have yet to find the right combination of coffee, grind size, and brew time. The espresso often turns out too acidic or bitter, or the final yield is too small. I understand that results vary depending on the beans and the machine, but Breville could do more to help people who are new to making espresso at home. It would be helpful to provide clear, practical recommendations for grind size, extraction time, and brew settings for popular coffees commonly sold in grocery stores. Not everyone wants to buy single-origin or gourmet coffee all the time.
