ZWILLING J.A. Henckels Double Lever Corkscrew

I ordered this knowing it is an excellent corkscrew. However, I am disappointed that it did not come in the “elegant gift box” that was noted in the product description.

I bought this very corkscrew 25 years ago in Germany. It finally broke a few weeks ago, and we drink a lot of wine. I went out of my way to find the exact same corkscrew, having faith/hope that it lasts for the next quarter century of use. This one feels slightly lighter (perhaps more nickel and less steel), but still plenty sturdy. It has also tripled in price. But a quality item meant to last is not to be taken for granted. I also had a bunch of Star Money.😊

Sturdy and attractive. It feels good to use, has good appearance, and the material is strong.

I've tried countless corkscrews of all styles. Over the decades now, this particular one is THE best. Ever. For those who prefer this winged style, as I do. It is sturdy, operates very smoothly, the worm is long enough to center/get into the cork properly & the leverage is great. I used one of them for over 25 years before it came apart. So I can't complain about reliability ! There are many identical-seeming versions made by other manufacturers but this is the ONLY one I use - as long as they continue to make in Germany. The Chinese-made "versions" are simply not as good in any respect.

With the extra thick frame and well designed levers and cogs, it provides a smooth, even action while removing corks. This is an investment in quality, life long product service, not a flimsy, inexpensive gadget soon to be broken or discarded because of broken corks and wine opening challenges. Life is too short to dig out a broken cork. Cheers!

Nice build quality. Made to be work well for many years Beautiful nickel finish Screw goes into cork with ease and extraction is effortless.

It appears it will last and it is a brand I trust.

I should have purchased this double lever corkscrew several years ago as it would have saved me from purchasing 3 cheap versions and having to throw them out. This is a very sturdy wine opener and the quality is evident.
