These shoes saved me during a recent hike. I have bad knees and degenerative arthritis and only hike easy trails. This one was billed as such, however, it was anything but. The grip helped me remain stabilized as I navigated steep, narrow, rock-and-root-filled paths up and down a mountain in Maine. My foot remained relatively comfortable and secure in the shoe, which really helped - like I can’t believe how much!! Did not need to break them in. It’s the most comfortable shoe I’ve worn in a long while. Way better fit and style than my first pair of On. But also $60 more. Worth it for the accidental hike adventure. Oh yeah and I swapped out the laces for the elastic kind and they held up well. Good flexibility when my foot moves.
