These are good trainers. The reason I am returning them is that they are too big. They run long, and the heel does not grip my narrow foot, causing it to slip in and out. However, the sole and plate are fine for running.
The shoe was too wide and long for my narrow foot, causing my heel to slip. Otherwise, it seemed okay, just a bit overpriced. I am sticking with the Mach 7.
I have numerous Hokas! I use them for work. I'm a home health nurse and do a lot of walking 5 days a week. My Hokas are comfy and sharp! Lots of compliments!
These shoes are absolutely amazing! Not only are they beautiful, but the support is excellent. It’s like walking on clouds! I walk several miles every day, and these shoes felt comfortable straight out of the box. They get five starts from me.

Light weight and excellent ventilation. This shoe ran very small. Guess it wasn’t what I was looking for. I really wanted to like it.
BEST MACH YET - this shoe is for runners! Hoka nailed it with a very comfortable upper and a midsole that feels like, snappy and quick and comfortable, yet not rigid. I wear other Hokas for everyday use and other activities, but this is one of Hoka's true running shoes and meant for those that want to fly. Great as an everyday running shoe and racing shoe! Hoka, don't change this model like you did with the Mach 5/6...keep this shoe doing what it does best, built for runners who are not looking for a super shoe!

Love these shoes: I love these shoes, bought a pair for both myself and my husband and they area easily one of our favorite daily trainers. I can put miles on these shoes and they are so responsive, especially the faster you run. They make turnover really easy and support and more aggressive running style. As to width and the like, they are average, not especially wide like some shoes, but work for my average foot. Love these SO much more than the regular Machs. Will 100% be buying again.
