I wear my Haflingers all day long every day while working from home - they are amazingly comfortable and this is probably my 4th pair - they will last me about a year of daily wear (admittedly involving lots of sitting) before the footbed lining starts getting worn out. I have a wide-ish foot but these 9M (40) fit just fine and conform to your feet after only a few days of wear. Love them!
I highly recommend Haflinger slippers and have worn them for years. However, the conversion from American to European sizing is one size too big. I wear size 7.5, and regularly buy European shoes in size 37. I therefore had misgivings about ordering the size 7, which was listed as being equivalent to size 38. Sure enough, they were too big, so I am returning them. I ordered the size 6, which supposedly correlated to the European size 37, and they fit perfectly. So I strongly recommend ordering one size smaller.
