Overall a nice mid-support boot. Not a light duty hiker and not a heavy duty hiker, a true mid duty with plenty of support structure and excellent traction. I can feel rocks through the bottom as compared to a heavy duty Asolo, but that is normal for a light duty or mid duty. Very high quality stitching and materials. however the top front of one boot was bunched up and irritated my toes, I think it was an actual defect and otherwise the boots were very good.

UltraRaptor 3 run a tiny bit narrow and short, typical of European hiking boots. Great support for a lightweight boot. Not nearly the boot of an Asolo Fugitive, but in a different category. Asolo and La Sportiva do this (size slightly narrow) intentionally for support on technical trails. I am a 10 regular to slightly narrow foot and the fit well, but I order half size larger for hiking inserts/socks.
