Cool shoe: Great shoe. jusnnit wide enough

As is typical these days, Oboz footware is quite wide which is described as "standard". I need narrow width, although I can usually adapt lace-to-toe styles to work OK. Oboz once had the "Yosemite II" style which had a lace-to-toe that really went all the way to the toes, but the current versions do not lace that far forward. Another problem is the constant tinkering with the lacing system from model to model, most of which require onerous long efforts to get each shoe laced. Why is it so difficult to create eyelets and hooks that work? Otherwise, the arch insoles are great!

My new pair of Sawtooth Ascent Mid Waterproof: My prior pair of Oboz Sawtooth II w/p boots fit me perfectly, I loved how they hugged my feet, how sturdy they are, but they lasted only 580 miles or 9 months. After Meghan recommended I purchase the Sawtooth Ascent mid w/p boots, with the Vibram shoe sole, I did just that and I've been using these boots since early Jan. 2026 and I love the way they feel. I just hope that these will last longer than my prior ones.

Great boots! Great shoe that fits and feels fantastic. I got the 12 wide, as I have very wide feet, and the fit wonderfully. So comfortable I can wear them all day at work while on my feet all day with no problems. Used them hiking twice since I bought them, and they performed great, and felt great on the trails. Will definitely buy again.

Great hiking shoe: Well made, comfortable walking/hiking shoe. I wear them for walking the dogs and with wool socks they've been warm in temps in the teens. I do find they're a little large for the size. This is my third different pair of Oboz I've purchased this year and all three are great shoes.

Perfect upgrade: My favorite boot! The original is fantastic, but the Ascent takes it to another level for me. A softer ride but the same responsiveness and durability. This is my second pair of boots and I have the Ascent low for everyday wear.
