They feature an extra 2mm of FF BLAST™ MAX cushioning underfoot. The foam offers an ultra-soft feel at footstrike and an energized toe-off. These running shoes have a new trail fit that offers a more supportive midfoot lockdown, which helps reduce movement within the shoe while providing a wider forefoot that allows for more comfort on long trail runs. They are designed with a polyester lining and insole. The elasticized strap on the tongue is where you can tuck your shoelaces to prevent them from coming untied. Their rock protection plate features a flexible design that helps shield your foot from rocks and rugged terrain, while the reflective details ensure visibility for enhanced nighttime and early-morning reflective brightness. These lace-up shoes feature ASICSGRIP™ technology in the outsole for advanced traction on off-road surfaces. GORE-TEX™ Invisible Fit technology provides waterproof coverage that is bonded seamlessly with the upper, which helps promote quicker dry-out times. The sockliner is produced with the solution dyeing process that reduces water usage by approximately 33% and carbon emissions by approximately 45% compared to the conventional dyeing technology. Good shoe, but not waterproof: I purchased these in February specifically because they were goretex. I work out outside three days a week in a boot camp style workout. The grass is always wet regardless of time of year. These shoes fit great and have held up well, but they are not waterproof. My feet are soaked every time I wear them. I had another brand goretex shoe and my feet stayed dry. I really want to like these shoes, but can't deal with wet feet.
Great shoe if you don't need lots of heel hugging: Great in the toebox. Comfortable across the entire foot. Heel cup was way too low for my liking
Good shoe with some weird quirks - The shoe is comfortable but sole makes crazy squishing noises like wet rubber, not a huge deal for me but for some will be an immediate deal breaker. Toe box is wide - roomy. Need to pair the shoe with the right sock - a thicker hiking sock. No as good a shoe as previous generations.
ASICS needs to work on their sizing: Product looks good, sizing is off, runs large then their other shoes. I have about 14 pairs of ASICS running shoes and the last couple of pair I have gotten have either been too small or too big and I have ordered all the same size 12.5. Very frustrating!!!!!
Trabuco 14 GTX: No heel pull loop. Other than that, excellent shoe.
Quality & Comfort: I am extremely happy with this purchase. I have worn many different brands, but the GELTrabuco is by far the most comfortable and breathable Gore-Tex shoe in the market. It's lightweight, stylish and perfect for traveling, especially when it calls for trekking on various terrain. This is my 3rd pair purchased in 8 years, which tells me Asics doesn't compromise quality or durability. It's definitely an investment well worth it and your feet deserve it.
