First time trying a "stability" shoe. I am elderly and wanted extra ankle support for an upcoming trip. I ordered the GT 1000 and 2000. I found the GT line runs quite a bit larger than the Gel Cumulus I've been wearing. I liked the extra ankle support but found that the stability factor forced my foot outward more than is comfortable. After wearing them for a while inside, the outside of one foot was really hurting, not just sore from any rubbing, but muscle, tendon kind of pain. So I think I have to forget about stability shoes. But wanted to add that I was not impressed by the GT 1000 in comparison with the 2000. The materials felt cheaper, the sizing was not consistent (it was huge ) and the comfort level was just not there.
