Adorable shoes! Classic looking shoe in fun colors and functional since they can get wet. I took my daughter to the beach in these and she wore them the whole time. They’ve gotten wet many times since and still look new. I chose the bright yellow for summer and have gotten tons of complements. I am back on Zappos to order another pair :)

We had to size up 1 whole size to get the right fit. According to the size guide on the Salt Water website, the child’s toe tips should just hit the white stitching on the inside sole-bed of the shoe. It will appear too large, but it’ll give a better fit and allow for some growth. We were worried our daughter would trip with that extra toe space, but no issues. Also, no blisters. Be sure to stretch them out a bit with your hands and bend the soles (as instructed insides the shoe box) before they are worn. The gold is adorable and so versatile! The length of these was right, but the upper was WAAAAY too tight across my 1-year-old's feet. The leather actually tore! I had these every year as a child (and now wear the adult sizes), so I was very disappointed. Maybe next year.
Love these shoes, but I feel like they run a full size big.
Read the instructions before putting them on for the first time. There is a specific way to stretch the sole and leather to make slipping on and off much easier. As for my daughter’s obsession with these shoes, it can’t be understated. She loves them! The gold is perfectly soft and shiny - not garish. They go with every outfit. And they are so healthy for her sweet little growing feet, per all the barefoot shoe experts (the three rules are: 0”heel/flat and flexible sole, wide toe box, secured to foot). These sandals are a big winner for both mom and child!
I don't understand these sandals. I read that they will stretch, but my daughter isn't even able to get her foot into them because the straps around the front of the foot are so tight. If we could have gotten her foot in them, I think the length would have been long. She is 2.5 years.
I can’t judge the comfort or quality of the shoe because unfortunately they don’t fit chubby baby feet. She’s a 5 and I believe a 4 would fit which is what we ordered but the toe section is too tight. Sad.
This doesn’t have a wide toe bed that infants require! Such a shame!
