I paid $525 for a pair of these, loved them and wore them for a season (winter 2022). I have another pair of LaCanadienne and have worn them for years and love them. However, the lining on one of these ripped just over a year after I bought them, and as a result an inner structural piece sticks through and makes them unwearable. I don't know if it's a change in manufacturing or just a one-off that wasn't made well, but I am extremely disappointed in this brand. Zappos did not make an exception to its one-year refund policy despite the cost and brand reputation. I will be buying my shoes elsewhere from now on.

Very clearly high quality. Boot is comfortable. The part that sits over the ankle is not super wide, so these work with my skinny-ish ankles. Strap with buckle can be adjusted, it's not just there for looks.

Two years later, and these boots look nearly brand new, although I wear them every day in the winter, trumping through salt and slush. All I do is rinse them when I get home and the next morning they look new again. They are amazing!

These boots are very comfortable and great looking. I have a high arch, and the ball of my foot is wider than average while my heel is fairly narrow. These boots feel good right out of the box. I bought my usual size 9. This is my fourth or fifth pair in this brand. They have all been terrific - warm and durable in lousy weather but also comfy and stylish. They are really expensive so I wait for sales. Otherwise, perfect.

I followed the recommendation to order one size smaller. So they were one size too small.

first, the deep brown color is beautiful. I also, love the look, shape and buckle detail. unfortunately, there is no arch support and foot bed feels stiff. i can't imagine walking too much in these without an insole. but, there isn't room for an insole, because the are tight across widest part of foot. foot bed in general is tight. for the price, i expected more, especially with footbed, arch support concerns. i will be returning.

I have bought many of these boots over the years. This year boots are made with lower quality. Hard piece is too rigid in heel counter. Boots do not slip on easily. I’m afraid my feet will hurt if I wear them. Not like before.

I love the way these boots look, however for the price I was really hoping that they would be more comfortable. The insoles are hard. They do give support so I am hoping to wear them at work and not be in pain after a few hours, I’m a stylist so I’m on my feet all day and have been looking for stylish COMFORTABLE boots.

these are fabulous!! elegant and utilitarian at the same time, very comfortable right out of the box, ordered my usual size. perfect shaft height of 7 1/2" and fits nicely to leg so there is no gap to catch on pant legs or dress hems. Have been searching for years since my last pair of la canadienne's (finley) bit the dust, the sole just disintegrated one day, and cobbler said they can't be repaired because of construction. the sole of these is great, sewed to uppers and lots of traction. made in Italy. dark brown suede color is beautiful. love them
