Zephyr GTX Mid TF

These are my dog walking shoes and I absolutely love my Lowas. I can walk in ankle deep water with no leakage into the boot. Very comfortable and I recently gave them a good cleaning and using the "Lowa Combo Pack Active Cream/Water Stop" which I purchased directly from Lowa. After walking through a lot of snow, rain and mud, they are holding up very well.

These boots are absolutely fantastic! It’s too bad they don’t offer these in a wide but ordering up 1/2 size was the perfect fit. No breaking for me with these boots.

Good quality

The fit ans size were correct. I returned these Lowa's for one reason. All my other Lowa boots are quick and easy to put on for one reason - the last 3 rows of things? that you lace up are not holes, they are open where you can just wrap the lace around them quickly. On these boots they were closed and have to be threaded thru the holes - taking more time than I want to take in lacing up my boots. If you lace them up prior to donning them, it makes it hard to get your foot into the boot. Otherwise they're great boots.

I'm a size 14. Lowa fits me better than any other brand, period. I've hiked and backpacked their boots for over 25 years. Their performance never disappoints. This is my second pair of Zephyr's. If you are looking for that racy, barefoot feel, look elsewhere. Lowa Zephyr's feel protective with outstanding motion control but not as much as full on mountaineering boots. They are not what I call cushy, they're firm without being harsh. I can't speak for their arch support because I always use Superfeet insoles for my over-flexy feet. For me, the Zephyr is good to go.

Best high top hicking shoe! Top quality build. I've worn my Lowa's practically every day and the tread is still in great shape.

Fit and size exactly as was advertised. Excellent hiking boot

With an active combat background and having gone through multiple pairs and types of shoes and boots, right out of the box, these are a 5 out of 5. Excellent support, no ankle roll, no slippage, these are going to be my go to from here on out. If you don’t care for your feet, they won’t care for you. The price is on the high end, but the value of my feet are higher. If you are on the fence, pull the trigger. These are true to size, plenty of room for your toes to spread appropriately, the brand’s insoles are “ok” if you don’t plan to put these through the wringer, but the boots are worth every penny.

The heal slipped.

I bought a pair of Zephyrs a few years ago and liked them except they were a bit too short (something I didn't realize until I wore them for a while). I'm looking for another pair of lightweight, breathable hiking books so I thought I would try the Zephyr one size up. (Note that the only apparent difference between the Zephyr and the Zephyr TF are the closed loops in the TF, not the rapid lacing open loops.) Here are a few things people should know about these boots (some might be positives for you, some negatives). The Zephyr boot has changed, so if you liked an old pair and are looking to replace them, be aware the new ones are noticeably different despite the same name. They appear still to be well made, maybe even more solid than the old model, with good ankle support, but the new ones felt higher off the ground and clunkier. They also have a footbed with no cushioning at all, especially noticeable in the heel. Walking in them is like walking barefoot on a concrete floor. I tried replacing the provided footbed with a cushier one, but then the front of the boot did not fit well (but this might work for you). At the very least, thick socks with lots of cushioning is a must. My impression is that LOWA makes solid, well made boots, and I was sorry I could not make these Zephyrs work for me, but perhaps they will fit your needs and your feet better than mine.
