More Energy RK6628

Years ago , I wore a different brand of Work boot...until that boot was discontinued.... Then Fortunately , I came across this Rockport Works , Work boot (they used to have a nice Buckskin tan color , but not anymore ). I hope to goodness , this Item 6628 does not ever get discontinued. I Really cant understand any of the negative reviews. This boot Is Nice and Wide ,...I've tried boots claiming to be extra wide that I couldn't even get my foot into. This one has the extra toe space and doesN'T have those stupid lacing hooks which either doesn't hold the lace or they cut into the lace.... Man what a comfortable boot. If my boss would let me... ( my Co buys our safety shoes ) I'd buy two every Yr.

Whoever designed these has never worn work boots for extended periods. First, why would you put eyelets in the top few lacings instead of hooks? You really have to fight keeping the tongue tucked in while you're fiddling with lacing up eyelets. Second, and more importantly, why, oh why, would anyone think it's a good idea to put a lacing eyelet (or even a hook) directly over your ankle?! Instead of being inline with the rest of the eyelets, that one is directly over your ankle bone! If you actually lace them up using that eyelet, and as tight as they need to be, one step and you're in pain. The only way to get around it is to skip that eyelet, use the rest of the uppers, and wrap the excess laces around the top. The problem there, with the the issue of eyelets v. hooks, caused them to constantly come loose. I wore these boots for about a month, got tired of the fight, then went back to a pair of military issue flight boots I still had. Sorry Rockport, never again.

Very comfortable and great durability. Lightweight and helped reduce my back pain

Light and comfortable. The large toe area is very nice with a safety toe. Many boots just add a safety toe to soft toe boots. Waterproof liner works well. Laces stay tied. Gel heel insert is great. Would like a less aggressive tread pattern. A tall version/8 inch option would be nice. Bring back the color black. Brown is nice, but shows stains. A great boot for light duty. My second pair. Will purchase another pair in early 2025.

Great boot can stand on concrete all day with no foot pain. They look a little funny but if you have to work all day at a warehouse or construction site, etc, there is nothing better

This shoe was awesome, great fit (for Me), and reasonably durable. The only failing I found was some of the materials were substandard. For instance the padding around the collar of the boot loses its vinyl covering in a short period of time, doesn't affect the wear-ability of the boot but it is unsightly. And the stitching on the outside of the boot does tend to give up after a couple years.

Good high quality boot. Stylish too.

I always picked with my husband as he has the same pair. I called them Elmer Fudd shoes. He's diabetic and don't play with the comfort of his feet. After returning a failed pair that looked good but felt terrible, I tried these. #Sold. I did buy them a 1/2 size bigger because they didn't have 8.5. The composite toe is round so my toes are free. I did have to use a work gel insert for the extra space. Full disclosure, my middle toe on my right foot gets irritated. I may cut my insert shorter in that shoe to relieve any additional pressure. Otherwise these were a great choice. I'm going to try the Rockport Works sneakers for the summer.
