R1402 Liv 02

Love these shoes! Black was not available so I got the mineral. It’s more of a silvery color but very nice. I put them on early this afternoon and have worn since. Zipper is so easy for taking on and off. I normally wear a 71/2 wide. Size 39 is perfect.

I have purchased five pair R1402 in the past ten years. My new pair (black) replaces my first pair, thoroughly worn out! Shoe is in tact but edging around the ankle wears down. I totally wore out my first brown pair and the brown pair I wear not is getting thin soled, but I cannot part with them. My burgandy pair is my dress up pair. No wear and still get compliments every time I wear them! They are more difficult to find now so latch on when you see them. Luv Luv Luv my Remontes!

Fit was fine in my usual Rieker/Remonte size. I adore this brand but just not this shoe. Firstly, having the "easy on/easy off" zipper on the outside of the shoe is not as convenient as you'd think. If there is any hesitation in the zipper, it is difficult to use. The style would work better if the zipper were on the inside of the foot, rather than the outside. Secondly, it needs to be a higher "cuff" in today's fashion. It felt like I was wearing a sneaker or 10 years ago, albeit a great color and lovely texture. It needn't be a "high-top", but it would be more stylish if it at least covered the ankle. I hesitated a long time before returning as there was nothing "wrong", just wasn't in love with it as I hoped I would be.

Extremely comfortable and adjustable. Very easy in and out of. No problems removing insole for orthotic

This shoe was comfortable at the start. I do prefer the side zipper for easy on/off and the laces are always tied just right. The only color available was the Fumo/Mineral which happens to go with just about color I'm wearing. I usually wear an 8 or 8.5. I ordered a size 40 and a 39. The 39 fit perfectly. I have a medium width foot (which fits well in this shoe), but this shoe makes my feet look slender. I use Birkenstock orthotics and fortunately these Riekers have a removable insole. Otherwise, this shoe provides little arch support. A real plus is the bottom of the shoe. It has great tread for walking in slippery conditions. I'd buy this shoe again.

So pleased with these…. Great style, perfect fit, and very comfy …. The shoe color is metallic gray not a cocoa color as shown…. Love them and will keep them

The fit was great! I wear a 7 and got the size 38 perfect fit. Beautiful shoe! The shoe was a little stiff, the sole was hard, hurt my feet after an hour even with memory foam inserts and no air circulation at all. My feet would sweat. :( otherwise a Beautiful shoe, you will need an insert for extra padding.

Love these! NO break in at all . Love at first stride. ?Just customized them with shoestring adjustment, then it’s like a slip on using zippers which work with NO hesitation. I have to use an orthotic (orthoheel brand which is like Vionic) and that was a snap to replace the stock shoe liner. While I buy shoes first & foremost on comfort and orthotic ability, the icing on the cake is that these are very attractive shoes!

Love, love, love this shoe. Uber comfortable right out of the box.
