Have worn Wigwam socks for years, but not this style. Always happy in the past. First one I tried seemed to have a weak spot in the toe. Sure enough, I ended up with a hole first day! Plus, made my ankles itch, maybe the polyester, which I almost never buy. Will go back to all cotton Wigwam. Threw one pair away and gave away the other two.
Great socks! My husband's been wearing them since 2019 and we just got more. Top quality and made in the US. I'm surprised to read some poor reviews because they have had a lot of hard wear and they totally hold up. We have a few white and black pairs, but the grey color get the most wear. I mention this because if you look at the descriptions, each color has a different ratio of materials. All the same, they are excellent socks.
I read the reviews about the sizes running small so I ordered XL, even though I wear a 8 1/2 to 9 size shoe; small-medium. While the foot bed appears to be XL in length, unfortunately the calf part of the sock is too tight even for my small frame and average calf circumference. I would have been happy if the calf size also ran big and proportionate to the XL foot length as I would have shrunk them in the wash (eventually), but oddly the calf part is too small even for my small-medium frame; and due to high cotton content they won't stretch enough for wearability. Very disappointing, I suppose I will throw them into my garage rag pile and use them for work cloths. Nice and thick though, but very poorly designed for size. John 63 y/o
Not great. My second try with this brand and it's socks and I gave up. I just want all cotton (comfortable) socks to wear around the house and THAT seems impossible these days. My first try was a year ago with a 6 pack from Wigwam that cost more than these and the fit was horrible. With this try, I got the medium, but after a wash and a dry, the 3 pairs turned into a S/M size - too short and a bit tight. No room for shrinkage, I guess........... so the consumer is left to spend more dollars on "house socks" that no one can get right. Just basic soft all cotton crew socks with cushions for lounging around the house, SO difficult to do.
These were great in the foot, soft to the touch and padded on the bottom. The legs did not have enough give, were very hard to pull up.
Great fit and are very comfortable because of the thickness on the bottom and toes. Washed and dried without any issues. Made in the US.
I ordered xl socks, and they just arrived. I have a size 13 foot, and these socks measure 9 inches from the tip of the toe, to the middle of the heel, and that's before they're washed. They're supposed to fit 12 to 15. In short, they will not fit and I wouldn't buy them again.
These are the only brand that my father will purchase, so I bought him more. He's a bigger guy and they fit well and are comfortable. The material is soft. He's worn only Wigwam for too many years to count.
