Better than expected: These socks surpassed my expectations, and I find myself pulling them out of the sock drawer more than my other socks! Probably will buy a couple more pair so they would be available and not in the wash.
I've been wearing SmartWool hiking socks for ages. In my opinion, there are no better socks available. I wear some version of them daily and I keep spare sets with my camera gear when hiking to various locations. I've tried other brands, but they end up at the bottom of the sock drawer never to be heard from again because they are not anywhere close to being SmartWool.
I love these socks. They are soft and keep my feet dry during my log walks. No blisters. My feet feel so much better than with my cotton socks. Sticking with Smartwool.

I bought multiple pairs of these, and multiple colors. They are incredibly comfortable, they are warm, they wick sweat, they're attractive, and I walked all over Belgium and the Netherlands for two weeks in these incredible socks.
These socks are great to wear when you will be doing a lot of walking or running! Targeted cushion is great! They keep you dry and comfortable. They wick moisture and they don't smell! Even after you wear them a number of times. Comfortable hiking and walking and even running socks!
I wear these for working since I do a lot of running around and I bought them because they stay in place and I haven't run into any foot sweating while wearing them.
